Mr. Burgher, PA-C, graduated from Gannon University in 1985 after having served as a US Navy Corpsmen assigned to the US Marine Corps and Aerospace Medicine Technician assigned to US Naval Aviation.

Floyd’s experience includes working emergency medicine at Benedictine Hospital in Kingston and Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie while serving in the traditional New York Army National Guard.  He subsequently returned to active duty as the Deputy State Surgeon and a Flight Surgeon for the New York National Guard.  He was later invited to the Pentagon to serve as the Chief, Clinical Operations for the National Guard. He served in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan during multiple combat deployments being awarded two Bronze Stars. His most recent assignment was as National Guard Advisor to the Surgeon General of the Army, receiving the Distinguished Service Medal for his service.

After being retired as a Wounded Warrior with 40-years of military service, culminating as a Colonel. Floyd returned to his home and family in Saugerties, New York. In his spare time, he continues to enjoy private aviation and SCUBA diving.
