Even if there is snow on the ground, it’s not too early to be thinking about sports and camp physicals. Most leagues and camps require physicals to determine if there are any issues that may interfere with your child’s participation. So what does a sport/camp physical include?
1. Vitals screening – we’ll check your child’s blood pressure, pulse, height and weight.
2. Physical exam – we’ll examine your child’s lungs, heart, ears, nose and throat. In addition, we’ll test your child’s joints, flexibility and basic strength.
3. Eye exam – a quick update to determine if your child’s vision has changed.
4. Medical history – a review of past illnesses and conditions that might impact participation.
At Emergency One, we can perform you child’s pre-participation physical. No appointment is required, however, if you wish, you may call us to schedule your appointment at your nearest location in New Windsor, Kingston or Hyde Park.
