Emergency One listed in National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners

DOT adds Dr. Gulati and Dr. Coste to National RegistryRecent changes by the Department of Transportation (DOT) require physicians performing DOT Physical Exams to undergo DOT examiner training to become a “Certified Medical Examiner.”

Emergency One is proud to announce that Dr. Gulati and Dr. Coste have recently completed their training and successfully passed the certification exam. Now that our providers have completed the rigorous training and exam, they will be included in the National Registry of Medical Examiners as individuals who are qualified to perform examinations and issue medical certificates.

The National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners is a new Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration program. The goal of the National Registry is to promote and preserve the highest level of professional standards, training and care among medical examiners. It is with that in mind that Emergency One strives to provide the best treatment and testing to help your company meet the requirements imposed by the Federal and State governments.

Employers of commercial motor vehicle drivers and motor carriers, you now have access to Emergency One in meeting the requirements set forth by the DOT. In an effort to accommodate the increased need certified examiners, Emergency One will continue to certify all providers as Certified Medical Examiners.
