Happy Fourth of July! Have a fun and safe day as we celebrate the birthday of the United States of America. On this day in 1776, our forefathers signed and adopted the Declaration of Independence, releasing our fledgling country from the dictatorial rule of Great Britain.

The first celebration took place in Philadelphia as the Liberty Bell rang out. John Adams declared that Americans should henceforth celebrate a “Great Anniversary Festival.”
