Many people are accessing Emergency One Urgent Care for COVID-19 testing prior to travel, sporting events, graduations and other gatherings. We are happy to help you return to your normal activities by offering these services. Here are the options that Emergency One Urgent Care provides.

  1. PCR Testing – This is the gold standard in SARS-CoV-2 detection. Turn-around time is usually in the 48 – 72 range but can take longer during times of high demand.
  2. Antigen Rapid Test – This test detects the protein fragments specific to the coronavirus. Results can be reported within 15 minutes.
  3. Molecular Rapid Test – A molecular test that detects levels of RNA from the SARS-CoV2 virus.

You can get in line, online or walk-in to any Emergency One location for these services.

It is important for you to know which type of test is required for your activity. Emergency One Urgent Care does not know the specifications for each event, airline or activity.

The United States and countries around the world have imposed a range of travel restrictions and testing requirements due to COVID-19. Furthermore, these requirements change on a daily basis.

For example:

Travel to the U.S. – rapid antigen or molecular tests (PCR) within 72 hours
vs.
Puerto Rico – PCR test only within 72 hours

This is just a small example of the variance in requirements. It is critical that you know prior to arriving at Emergency One Urgent Care what type of test you will need. You do not want to be refused access to your grandson’s graduation because you had the wrong test completed!

Some state and local governments may have similar or more restrictive requirements than the federal government (CDC) so be sure to check out each event and the individual requirements.
